Rainforest Rescue’s annual Daintree Escape Tour in Far North Queensland is happening over the Queen’s birthday weekend, June 6-9, and Eco-Voice subscribers can get $50 off the price as a special 50th Issue offer.

That’s a $100 saving for a couple. It is a chance to see the amazing variety of plant, bird and animal life in the Daintree rainforests, parts of which are still threatened by development.

Of special interest will be the opportunity to view some of the properties protected through the Daintree Buy Back & Protect Forever Project of Rainforest Rescue.

Nine properties in the lowland forests have been saved to date, with another to be added soon.

These properties are critical habitat to rare and endangered species such as the Cassowary and Bennett’s Tree Kangaroo.

The tour includes luxury accommodation at the Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa close to the beach at Cape Tribulation, a Daintree River cruise to view crocodiles and birds in their natural habitat and the Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime tour at Mossman.

Rainforest Rescue specialist conservationists and other specialist guides based in the Daintree will provide an insight not normally available to tourists to the area, making the visit an experience to remember.

Apart from the tours, participants will have ample time to indulge in 4 star comforts at Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa amidst wild surrounds with private rainforest views and easy access to Coconut Beach, as well as enjoy fine cuisine at ‘The Cape’ and rejuvenate at the stunning new day spa!

The cost of the tour is only $995 per person which includes three nights’ twin share accommodation, all tours and transfers. Airfares and meals except breakfasts are additional.

Major airlines have regular flights into Cairns from most Australian capital cities. And for Eco-Voice subscribers, there is a $50 discount per person if you book and pay before April 30, so do it now!
