Mission
To further the interests of our members, the BCSE seeks to ensure that an environment exists that will enable future growth of sustainable energy in Australia.

Goals
To ensure that sustainable energy makes a significant contribution to meeting Australia's future energy needs.
In the long term (to 2040) sustainable energy to grow so as to ensure that greenhouse emissions from the stationary energy sector to be half of the 2001 level.
Continue to be the leading industry association representing sustainable energy sector in Australia.

BCSE Objectives
Development of the sustainable energy industry in Australia to grow the market in Australia as well as leverage into overseas export markets.
Facilitate development of an environment that supports the growth of new businesses for 21st century that create wealth, while also being sustainable.
Increase awareness amongst energy consumers of the economic, quality and reliability of supply benefits of sustainable energy.
Promote to government, energy consumers and the community the energy efficiency and environmental benefits of sutainable energy.
Ensure a national energy market is established that enables participants to complete on equal footing when delivering energy to consumers.
Be the first point of reference for independent advice, and to help facilitate the identification, development, construction, implementation and ongoing maintenance of sustainable energy projects, products and services.
