New Chair for Ecotourism Australia

kerrMr Cameron Kerr, Director and Chief Executive, Taronga Conservation Society Australia, has been elected as the new Chair of Ecotourism Australia Limited, the peak not-for profit organisation for nature based and sustainable tourism in Australia.

Mr Kerr replaces Mr Duncan Mackenzie, Chair of Birds Australia Gluepot Reserve, who stepped down after 3 years serving as Chair. Mr Mackenzie remains a Director of Ecotourism Australia.

"Duncan Mackenzie has lead Ecotourism Australia through challenging times particularly for the Australian Tourism Industry, and the Board and members are indebted to him for his steadying hand through these times," said Mr Kerr. "On behalf of my felllow Directors, I wish to thank Duncan for his committment and contribution to Ecotourism Australia as Chair."

"As Ecotourism Australia approaches its 21st year, it is important that we continue to play a significant role in the development of a truly environmentally sustainable and culturally responsible tourism industry in Australia." Mr Kerr said.

Following the Annual General Meeting elections, the Board of Ecotourism Australia comprises of:

·         Professor Ross Dowling
