BFA
The well loved CleanFood Organic magazine has been purchased by the not-for-profit group. Its founder and editor Mr Malcolm McGuire, will join BFA's publications team to develop the magazine as part of a number of consumer information resources. "This is brilliant for consumers and industry - both of which have been calling for greater consumer support and resources," says BFA General Manager Holly Vyner. "Consumers are looking for a trustworthy source of information on all things organic. They want to know how an organic lifestyle can benefit them and the planet and an achievable recipe for ‘how to'." According to Malcolm McGuire, the move will ensure the publication keeps pace with rapid growth being enjoyed by the organics sector. "Being part of Australia's main representative group is a tremendous move for the publication. The considerable might and resources of the BFA make it a perfect fit for the magazine whose charter is to help meet the needs of a growing base of organic consumers." The BFA is best known for its CHOICE-award winning ‘Australian Certified Organic' Bud logo which is found on the majority of organic products in the marketplace, in addition to its BFA Organic School Gardens Program now registered to by 850 schools. "The organic industry is relying on BFA as the only organisation which has the resources to help grow consumers understanding of organic, and what to look for," said Vyner. "Clean Food Organic will be relaunched in the New Year with several other new consumer initiatives. The last issue in its current format will be published before Christmas.
