The Joeycan Company - As seen on ABC's The New Inventors
The Joeycan is a simple yet effective combination of a bucket and watering can. Inspired by an old Australian tradition, it is designed to collect the water which flows as people adjust the temperature when turning on their showers. Its specially designed front ridges reduce water bounce-off and its strategically placed spout allows for maximum water capture while the Joeycan is horizontal and easy pouring when it is upright. This practical design is patent pending. "Itʼs all about weight," says Lyndon Treacy, designer and co-founder of Joeycan. "In my research, I discovered that humans can easily maneuver 6kg of weight "The majority of other water conservation devices that are based on showering, operate by gauging or minimizing water-flow," explains Denis Treacy, Director, "however, the Joeycan slots into an inevitable stage of the showering process the warming stage."
