Stringybark, Suburban Sustainability Festival 15 & 16 October 2011, Rowville

stringStringybark Suburban Sustainability Festival is a popular, family friendly environmental festival held over the third weekend of October each year.

Stringybark attracts in excess of 20,000 visitors over the weekend and showcases products, concepts and environmental issues that helps create a sustainable community. The festival achieved Gold Waste Wise Event Accreditation in 2008 with more than 80% of waste diverted from landfill.

The festival includes free children's theatre and workshops, roving performers, food, crafts, live music, animals and sustainable products and is held in the grounds of the Rowville Community Centre, Fulham Road, Rowville from 10am -5pm.
