watershedRenters looking to live an eco-friendly lifestyle can seek advice from The Watershed's free Urban Sustainability Workshops.

"It's often difficult for renters to find practical tips on living more sustainably within the confines of a rental property," Mayor of Marrickville Councillor Fiona Byrne said. "The Watershed offers just the workshop for those unable to make major changes to a property, but still looking to implement some sustainable features in their home."

The Eco Choices for Renters workshop, offers renters the opportunity to explore many practical tips on greening their home This two part workshop offers low-cost, moveable options available to make renting more environmentally friendly. Eco Choices for Renters will be held at Newtown Library on Saturday 19 and 26 February from 10.00am - 12.00pm.

Another Urban Sustainability Workshop available in February is Worm Farming on Saturday 12 February. Participants will be able to convert their food scraps to garden gold, by learning how to start and maintain their own worm farm. This workshop will be held at Newtown Library 8-10 Brown Street Newtown from 10am - 12pm.
