Wonderful World Media Network

shaneWonderful World Media Network announced the launch of 2 new eco-radio shows in July 2010.

Following in the path of WWMN's existing multi-award winning sustainable lifestyle shows, the new junior program ‘Primary Perspectives' launched at the studios of 3WBC 94.1fm Melbourne on 27 July, with a team of 4 children Seth (12 yrs), Miani (11 yrs), Molly (11yrs) and JM (8 yrs). Eco-ambassador and AFL icon Shane Wakelin joined the debut show and was a huge hit with the young crew. "It was a pleasure working with the kids and the WWMN team on the debut of Primary Perspectives. This show offers a wonderful opportunity to deliver some really positive messages on what we can all do in regard to the Environment".

WWMN's independent production team is committed to creating innovative programs designed to provide positive, educational and uplifting media that makes a difference. "We are very excited about the potential that ‘Primary Perspectives' offers for children throughout Victoria to get involved in live radio and to be powerful voices for our environment" said WWMN founder and executive producer, Viarnne Mischon. "Passion about our planet and a driving need to forge a more sustainable way to live makes WWMN's existing team of young people inspirational, creative leaders for our sustainable future. Now, with the launch of the children's program, this opportunity is extended to a younger age group to become part of WWMN's award winning team in producing socially and environmentally pro-active media - eco-radio created for kids by kids!"

Primary Perspectives also offers schools a unique opportunity to create their own ‘one off' show and for students to gain excellent experience with live radio. The fist school to join the program is The Peninsula School, and their ‘Green Team' show will debut on 24 August with a production themed around the ecological importance of Port Phillip Bay, as well as showcasing The Peninsula School's excellent environmental initiatives. WWMN has now opened a call out to all schools in Victoria that would like to participate and produce their own ‘one off' show for Primary Perspectives - contact details are listed at the end of this article.

The content focus of all WWMN programs is both local and universal in its application. WWMN's team is creating a world benchmark in positive media that promotes sustainable consciousness at all times. Due to the last four years of high calibre production and solution based reporting WWMN's reputation has gained international recognition, resulting in a recent affiliation with Positive World Radio Network in Canada and We Earth in USA. This affiliation will bring even more global information and resources to local audiences, as well as showcasing Australian innovations and guest speakers to the world.

WWMN's affiliation with PWRN in Canada has given birth to the 10th show in WWMN's portfolio. ‘From the Tundra to Downunda', which also launched in July, is a lighthearted cross-cultural exchange between the two network's executive producers, PWRN's Allan Holender and Viarnne Mischon. At the end of each month Allan and Viarnne exchange some zany yet insightful reviews of their respective country's performance, or lack there of, in a variety of arenas. This one hour show is now available on podcast from www.pwrnradio.com and from September also via www.wwmn.net.

Listeners can enjoy WWMN's new multi-award winning line up for 2010 four days a week via live streaming world-wide by visiting www.3wbc.org.au or on the Melbourne dial 94.1fm 3WBC.
