Love One

one-loveRugby Fans will see another level of commitment from the Australian Rugby Union and the Qantas Wallabies as they partner with ethical spring water ‘Love One'.

As sportsmen, the Wallabies recognise the importance of access to clean, safe drinking water, something often taken for granted. The partnership will see Love One become the official water supplier for ARU and the Qantas Wallabies in 2010, supporting One's clean water projects.

"Love One is thrilled to partner with ARU and the Qantas Wallabies as their Official Water Supplier for 2010. This wonderful opportunity opens platforms for Love One as an ethical consumer brand to educate the masses of sporting enthusiasts in Australia and around the world on the issues of poverty and the positive difference we can all make to the lives of those less fortunate in developing countries, simply by drinking One Water," said Alicen Spencer, CEO of Global Ethics, Australia.

"We're not trying to grow the Australian bottled water market, we're just asking current buyers to make an educated purchase and unite as one to support this amazing campaign, where everyone wins by drinking One water. By switching your usual bottled water brand to One water, Australians can directly help provide clean, safe drinking water to villages and schools in Africa and Asia," Spencer said. "82 percent of Sydney's bottled water drinkers would change their brand if they knew 100 percent of the profits were going to clean water projects." (Research conducted by MRA Research in 2008 on behalf of One Water)

One billion people in the world don't have access to clean drinking water, and two million people die each year from drinking contaminated water. All profits from One water sales go to fund the installation of unique PlayPump® water systems in developing countries. As children play, water is pumped from deep underground into storage tanks, these are connected to taps and provide a clean, free water supply for the whole community.

These projects not only provide clean water to the community, they also give children within the community the best chance to escape poverty by allowing them to go to school and get an education, rather than spending hours each day collecting water. These children can have the chance to dream & become professional sports people just like the Qantas wallabies!!

Love One Water is available to buy across Australia in all Woolworths & Coles Supermarkets, Woolworths Caltex Convenience Stores and other ethically minded retailers.

Go the Qantas Wallabies, and DRINK UP AUSTRALIA!
