Networking Women in NRM Conference
As a result of all the positive feedback from the AWNRMB event, we are pleased to announce a second conference to support the needs of Aboriginal women involved in NRM. With support from the Australian Government and the Alinytjara Wilurara NRM Board, the ‘Creating the link between a healthy environment and a healthy country conference' will be convened at the Standpipe Golf Motor Inn at Port Augusta on June 17 and 18 2010. The AWNRMB recognises the enormous contribution that Aboriginal women make to protection of country and engaging younger people in knowledge transfer. We further recognise the constraints that face many women in remote and isolated areas and hope that this event will offer ongoing dialogue between many groups separated by huge distances. We want this opportunity to be made available to Aboriginal women from all Natural Resource Management Board regions in SA.
