Queensland (Sunshine Coast) coloured render and eco friendly paint company Rockcote could be forgiven for being a bit 'star struck' with news that two of their products - a people and planet safe paint and a cob brick pizza oven - are the subject of celebrity attention.

Rockcote's zero VOC (volatile organic compound) EcoStyle paint will grace the walls of Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food Australia kitchen in Ipswich, Queensland. The highly successful, worldwide Ministry of Food concept aims to educate people about the health benefits of getting back to basics in the kitchen.

The kitchen will officially opened, Thursday 14th April 2011, with Australian participants able to enjoy the health benefits of cooking in a kitchen with superior indoor air quality thanks to EcoStyle's environmentally friendly properties which include no paint smells, no off-gassing, no nasty fumes and no dangerous VOCs or chemicals - particularly important elements in a room subject to the effects of heat and steam.

SBS Television star, landscape architect Costa Georgiadis will be joining Rockcote's Managing Director, Bob Cameron and a host of other speakers at Yandina Community Gardens on Sunday 1st May, 2011 to celebrate 'National Permaculture Day'. As part of the busy program of events, Bob will share tips on how to build a wood fired pizza oven in your own backyard with cob bricks made from a mix of clay, silt, sand and straw.

Bob said he was heartened to see society trending toward an interest in more sustainable living and a commitment to using more natural building materials.

"The worldwide popularity of Jamie's Ministry of Food concept and local television shows such as Costa's Garden Odyssey program demonstrate that people are really hungry for information on how to live a healthier, more sustainable life.

"I think that most of the problems we face today emanate from the difference between the way nature works and the way humans think. Although our march towards civilization has brought many benefits there are also some very important things that we have lost, things that helped us live as part of a community in tune with the rhythms of nature for centuries.

"In line with Rockcote's vision of being a fully sustainable and regenerative company we are actively pursuing, promoting and supporting projects such as The Ministry of Food and National Permaculture Day in order to help increase the understanding and importance of using sustainable building materials.
